While I agree many of the “conclusions of the contemporary charismatic movement” are non-biblical, it would seem the lack of a formal collection of these contemporary conclusions makes it difficult to define what exactly Southwestern is rejecting. It would seem the Seminary would be better served by passing a resolution that addresses a more foundational issue that, when misunderstood, leads to the types of Scriptural misunderstandings it has in view regarding modern charismatics. Either way, I do not think Southwestern has formally declared itself a cessationist Seminary, so why not be more precise?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
